Allah = Allah (God)

Ar-Raḥmān = The Most Merciful

Ar-Raḥīm = The Most Compassionate

2) الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

Al-ḥamdu lillāhi rabbil-‘ālamīn

Al-ḥamd = All praise

li-llāh = is for Allah

Rabb = Lord

Al-‘ālamīn = of all the worlds

3) الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Ar-Raḥmān ir-Raḥīm

Ar-Raḥmān = The Most Merciful

Ar-Raḥīm = The Most Compassionate

4) مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ

Māliki yawm id-dīn

Mālik = Master / Owner

Yawm = Day

Ad-Dīn = of Judgment

5) إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ

Iyyāka na‘budu wa iyyāka nasta‘īn

Iyyāka = You alone

Na‘budu = we worship

Wa = and

Iyyāka = You alone

Nasta‘īn = we ask for help

6) اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ

Ihdinaṣ-ṣirāṭ al-mustaqīm

Ihdina = Guide us

Aṣ-ṣirāṭ = the path

Al-mustaqīm = the straight

7) صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ

غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ

Ṣirāṭ alladhīna an‘amta ‘alayhim,

ghayril-maghḍūbi ‘alayhim walāḍ-ḍāllīn

Ṣirāṭ = Path

Alladhīna = of those who

An‘amta = You blessed

‘Alayhim = upon them

Ghayr = not

Al-maghḍūb = those who earned anger

‘Alayhim = upon them

Wa lā = and not

Aḍ-ḍāllīn = those who went astray

 Full Translation 

In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate.

All praise is for Allah, the Lord of all the worlds.

The Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate.

Master of the Day of Judgment.

You alone we worship, and You alone we ask for help.

Guide us to the straight path —

The path of those whom You have blessed, not of those who earned Your anger, nor of those who went astray.
